Dr.Philip Westfall
Director, Air Technology Network Program Management Office, Air Force Institute for Advanced Distributed Learning; Chairman, FGDLA Board of Directors

Dr. Philip Westfall is currently Director, Air Technology Network Program Management Office, at the Air Force Institute of Technology, located at Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio.

Phil has spent most of his professional life as a technical trainer & educator. While on active duty with the Air Force, he served as a fighter aircraft instructor navigator, and served as assistant professor at the Air Force Academy.  He established and directed the Air Force’s first Center for Distance Education, where he pioneered a Government-wide satellite network for distance learning.

After retirement from active duty, he returned to the Air Force in civil service where he now serves as Director of the Defense Education & Training Network.  He is currently Chairman of the Board for FGDLA.  Phil holds a Ph.D. in educational metrics from Ohio State University.
