In this session, learn the finer points of setting type in Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. In addition to the technical process for creating and editing type, we’ll look at how and why to choose a specific typeface. Typography can be used to help solve all kinds of everyday problems in video. We’ll cover the subtle messages contained within a typeface and how to intensify that message through typesetting. We’ll help your titles pop off the screen through using different key typographic principles. We’ll use these principles to help with everything from too much type on the screen to creating different emotions with typesetting. Keyboard shortcuts and other speedy type tips will be sprinkled throughout the session. To round out the session, we will cover the technical hurdles for preparing type across all different screen sizes, from iPod to the big-screen.
